A cup and saucer on a black and white checked surface is reversed in a varied reflection in Emilia van nest Markovich's wild "Mirror". Both halves of the diagonally-divided painting are surrounded by green and blue rivers, large fig leaves in opposing color schemes and blue backgrounds. The right half of the painting features a cup that is upside down on its saucer and painted with a fine black spiral on its front side. Both cups are earthy red with black insides, but the saucer on the left has shrunk considerably, and almost disappeared. Anomalies appear in both reflections, letting one's interest move from place to place always finding something new.
