Kerry Vander Meer completed her MFA in sculpture from Mills College in Oakland, California. She began her art process with plants gathered while hiking in the California’s Oakland hills. She combines these with inks on Arches BFK printmaking paper using a large etching press. The colors and textures are built up gradually in multiple press runs.
