His humorous art is reminiscent of such artists as Grandma Moses and Rousseau, however, he has developed his own unique style and technique. Herrero is known for his calendars that started with a whale series in 1979, followed by a cat series. Cows have since been added to the cats that continue today. He has had a series of one-man shows since his first one in 1983 at the Bill Dodge Gallery in Carmel, California. He has had long-term associations with The Lang Companies that produces cards, calendars, prints and posters of his work and the Franklin Mint that reproduces his paintings on limited edition plates and other products. Herrero recently moved to a studio on a farm in Napa Valley, California that provides daily visions for his paintings. His art can be found in private and corporation collections, as well as in galleries and art retailers worldwide. Wolfgang Puck has hung Herrero's paintings in his restaurant Spago in Bevery Hills, California.« see less
