Lou Jene Carter was born in Utah and currently resides in Springville, Utah with her husband Richard. She always aspired to be an artist and cannot remember a time when she was not drawing or painting. In high school she began her art education learning about commercial art. She later studied drawing, painting and sculpture at UVSC and BYU.
In 1979 after the encouragement of teacher Kent Goodlif...see more »fe at UVSC she decided to embark on a full-time career as an artist. A proficient artist in both oils and pastels, she is also equally adept painting multitudes of subjects including landscapes, portraits or still-lifes.
As a teacher she has conducted private lessons and has also conducted classes at the Springville Museum of Art and Kimball Art Center in Park City, Utah. As an award-winning artist, her work has been shown in numerous galleries, invitational and juried professional shows, and private and public collections.« see less
