"L'Atelier au Bouquet" allows a private glimpse of Dufy's studio in France. The works of Dufy are cheerful and "L'Atelier au Bouquet" is no different. In a quiet corner of the artist's studio, a floral still-life is arranged on a simple trestle table; it is the subject of the work-in-progress that stands on the easel. The terracotta walls are bare, save for a working sketch pinned to the wall, and cool midday light floods through the uncurtained windows. The impression is that this is the studio of an ordinary, friendly man, who just happens to be a famous French artist.
